Business Ethics

Business Ethics is a topic discussed regularly. The whole idea of taking items from the workplace. Good Business ethics should be a part of every business. It is a difficult topic to discuss, if a ethical company does business with an unethical company, does it make the ethical company unethical because it is associating with the unethical business. The demand for more ethical business' is increasing. Businesses are being encouraged to build their ethical responsibility. Ethics start within the company. If you hire someone who is unethical, unethical things can happen, causing a snowball effect. But with ethical employees there are going to be more ethics within the workplace.
A business will do better if they are ethical. Their clients will trust the business more and will tell their friends of the business and the business will receive a good reputation. Car sales seem to have a reputation of being dishonest and thus people are hesitant to purchase cars from certain car dealerships.
Ethical is the way to go.

Professionalism

According to dictionary.com, the definition of professionalism is "the standing, practice, or methods of a professional, as distinguished from an amateur." How exactly do you practice professionalism in a classroom? The best way to show professionalism is to be respectful and courteous of others in the classroom. Being punctual is another way to show professionalism, walking in late can cause a distraction, making it difficult for the teacher to continue with his or her lesson plan. Having professionalism in a classroom can create a better learning environment. If the students perform professionally it is likely they are paying attention and having an easier time learning.
If you show professionalism in the classroom setting, it is likely that you will continue to improve your professionalism as you work towards your career. Your future employer will be grateful that you have professionalism

Tattoos in the workplace.

My major is human resources and a topic we have discussed is tattoos in the workplace. Tattoos have been an on going debate. Should people be allowed to show them, or should they not. Should a worker in a hotel who works at the front desk not be allowed to show their tattoos, and someone who works in the kitchen and is not seen by any of the guests be able to show off their tattoos.Issues raised by tattoos can get more complicated when it comes to gender and religion. Employers need to be aware of these issues before writing and enforcing policies that don't allow you to show your tattoos.
Tattoos will continue to be an on going debate, a lot of the tattoo questions can be answered with "It depends." We continue to ponder whether it is acceptable or not.

How a professional blog can help businesses.

A professional blog for a business has many different benefits. It is very user friendly. It can benefit the company and customers.
Some benefits for the company are, having the blog come up on the search engine and it is significantly cheaper to update a blog rather than to maintain and keep a website going. It can help a company to become more organized. A blog is also a wonderful marketing device, when it is fun and exciting. It puts the business out there, more available on the world wide web.
A blog gives a "we care" attitude. Customers can leave their comments and suggestions, making customers feel like that business is listening to their thoughts and are trying to be more customer friendly. It can also keep customers up-to-date with everything new going on in the business. The best part about a business blog, its easy.
